Software & web development company in Dubai

We are based in Deira. Most of our clients are a short drive away — which is why we still do kick-off in person.

Overview

Building software in Dubai.

Zellarc builds web applications, mobile apps and custom business systems for companies operating in Dubai. We have been doing it from here since 2020, which means we already know the things that catch out an overseas vendor: the tax invoice the FTA expects, how a trade licence shapes what you can bill for, and why a system that cannot produce a bilingual invoice will eventually cost you a client.

Dubai is where the commercial pressure is highest and the tolerance for downtime is lowest. Most of the work we take on here is not a first website — it is a business that has outgrown spreadsheets, or a platform that was built cheaply, shipped, and is now falling over as it scales.

Local landscape

Software in Dubai, in depth.

The specifics that shape what we build here — and why a system built elsewhere rarely fits without change.

A city of free zones, each with its own rules

Dubai is not one regulatory environment but many. DMCC, JAFZA, DAFZA, DIFC and Dubai Internet City each have their own licensing authority and rules on ownership, permitted activities and reporting, and a DET mainland licence differs again. We build systems that encode your specific licence structure — which entity trades, what it may bill for, how its records are kept — rather than assuming a single generic setup.

Where the work actually clusters

The commercial map is legible once you know it: trading and wholesale in Deira and around the Creek, finance and professional services in DIFC and Business Bay, commodities and crypto in DMCC and JLT, tech and media in Dubai Internet City, and heavy logistics around Jebel Ali. The district a client sits in usually predicts the system they need.

The pace raises the bar

Dubai carries the region's highest commercial pressure and the lowest tolerance for downtime, which is why most of our work here is not a first website but a business that has outgrown something built cheaply. Systems have to hold up under real volume, produce FTA-compliant invoices, and often run bilingually from day one.

Sectors

Who we build for in Dubai.

The problems repeat by industry more than they repeat by technology.

Trading & re-export

Multi-currency inventory, supplier management and customs documentation for businesses moving goods through Jebel Ali and Dubai’s free zones.

Travel & tourism

Booking platforms, supplier integrations and back-office systems for agencies working with high seasonal volume.

Retail & F&B

Point of sale, multi-branch stock and delivery integrations for operators running several locations across the emirate.

Professional services

Client portals, CRM and billing systems for consultancies, law firms and agencies in Business Bay and DIFC.

How we work

Working with a Dubai team, not a distant one

The practical difference is response time and accountability. When something breaks at 4pm on a Thursday, you are talking to the people who wrote the code, in your timezone, and they can be in your office the next morning if it warrants it. Offshore rates look attractive until the first real incident.

Questions

Dubai, specifically.

Yes. We work with businesses licensed in DMCC, JAFZA, Dubai Internet City, DIFC and mainland Dubai. The licence shapes things like which entity invoices, how records are kept and, for some goods movements in designated zones, how VAT is treated. Your tax adviser confirms the treatment; we build the system so it can record and report it.

It depends entirely on scope, and any firm quoting a number before understanding your requirements is guessing. A straightforward marketing site is a very different engagement from a multi-branch ERP. Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will scope it honestly — including telling you if the project is smaller than you think.

Yes. We are in Deira and we do project kick-offs, reviews and escalations face to face when it helps. Most day-to-day work runs remotely, but we are not a vendor you only ever meet on a video call.

Yes, and in Dubai it is often expected. We handle right-to-left layout and genuine bilingual content properly rather than bolting a translation layer onto an English build.

We have written separate pages for Deira (trading and wholesale), Business Bay (professional services), DIFC (finance and fintech), JLT and DMCC (commodity trading), Dubai Internet City (SaaS and tech) and Jebel Ali (logistics and warehousing), because the systems those areas need are genuinely different.
